First Hydra Final Tonight!

Short one this week as it's been a busy one.

The fun news this week for poker is I qualified for the Hydra Final which is tonight.  I essentially freerolled into it.  I won a 16.5 SC ticket by doing Global Poker's daily promo of playing 10 flops of .25/.50 NL cash games.  You can enter for a chance at 16x entries to the 99 SC satellite or 32 entries to the 16.5 SC satty.  I grinded the 16.5 entry to quality for the 99 SC that started that night.  There were 77 entries into that flight with 11 entries qualifying for Sunday into the Hydra 100,000 SC guarantee.

We got lucky on a couple of flips.  Had QQ hold vs AK suited with them flopping the nut flush draw and then bricking.  When it got to the final 16 or two tables were were on the shorter end.  We did not let up on the aggression and built up comfotably to 20+ big blinds and into the top half of the field.  From there, it was a matter of waiting out the short stacks to make their move or seal their fate.

I've been in a couple Mini Hydra finals so I'm familiar with the format.  This one will have ~150 entries.  We start immediately in the money and all mystery bounties are live.  And it is 100,000 SC prize pool.  So definitely excited to hopefully have a nice run tonight and build the bankroll.  I'll share what happens!
