6/24 Daily Stock Moves

Today made a couple of moves. Sold a SHAK covered called at $65 strike expiring in August.  Collected $264 of premium.  Took the premium from that and bought two more shares of UBER at $74.71 a share.

Small moves but we're going brick by brick to achieve our long term goals.

Uber is one of the 5 core holdings I am building out in the portfolios.  Shake Shack I will keep selling covered calls against until I get them called away.

Part of my strategy to build out the core holdings is selling options.  I do this pretty methodically.  It'll be on stocks I don't mind owning.  I'll sell 45-60 days out.  At about a .30 delta.  And I'll set an order to close at 50% profits.  The other 50% of the premium I'll turn around and add stock to one of the core holdings.  If the underlying stock goes against me I'll either take assignment or roll the option out once we get down to about 21 days from expiration.  This has been working for me for several years now.  It's simple, keeps the emotion out with the set rules, and has outperformed for me the last several years.
